On June 3rd, Kay Oosterman, project architect parametric design at the architectural studio ZJA, will be a member of the jury of the 24H design competition of INDESEM (The International Design Seminar) organized by the Faculty of Architecture at the Delft university of Technology and BK Talks.
INDESEM.21 - Datascape
Every two years INDESEM, the international architecture conference of Delft University of Technology, brings together architecture students, architects and teachers to discuss an innovative and current theme within architecture. This year the theme of INDESEM.21 is 'Datascape'. What is the impact of Big Data on our design process and physical spaces? How could data influence our future architectural designs with respect to how people live, breathe and move through the projects we create?
Jury panel design competition
In addition to lectures and workshops, students also work on a design assignment during INDESEM.21, the 24H competition. On June 3rd, the jury, consisting of Kay Oosterman (project architect parametric design at ZJA), Astrid Piber (partner at UNStudio), Chris van Duijn (partner at OMA) and Winy Maas (founder at MVRDV), will give feedback on the results of this design competition and announce the winner. In addition, they will also discuss the impact of Big Data on our design process and build environment. The discussion will be led by Indira van ’t Klooster, director of Arcam.
