The construction of the wooden bicycle-bridge in Harderwijk by ZJA is in full progress. After months of preparations the first wooden bridge-sections and the first pylon have been put in place. ‘Botters’, vintage-fishing boats that used to sail the ‘Zuiderzee’, inspire the wooden cable-stayed bridge. The bridge will connect the city center with the boroughs on the south side of the A28 motorway.
The design and construction of this remarkable bridge is a close collaboration between Heijmans Civil BV from Nijkerk, Wijma – timber from Kampen and ZJA.
The bridge will be completed in December this year.
